Ion Exchange Systems

Medro Systems, Incorporated offers a complete line of ion exchange processes including sodium and hydrogen cycle cation exchangers, strong an dweak base as well as selective ion anion exchangers, deep bed condensate polishers and mixed bed polishers. Medro utilizes state-of-the-art technology in designing high quality, chemical efficient systems. Serving the power utility, chemical, petrochem, medical and semiconductor industries, our systems are designed to meet the customer's special needs.

450 GPM Ion Exchange System

Being an ASME code tank facility, we build the vessels used in our systems assuring utilization of the highest quality components and quality control procedures.
Some of the special optional features of Medro's Ion Exchange Systems:
  • Dry False Flat Bottom design for cation, anion and mixed bed vessels.
  • Header-Lateral Internal Distribution Systems utilizing pipe base, wedge wire wrapped laterals designed for optimum flow and distribution.
  • Welded Stainless Steel Face Piping for corrosion resistance and long life.
  • State-of-the-art Programmable Logic Controller Based Control Systems featuring Allen Bradley PLC's and advanced computer interface software if required.
  • Optional Lease/Purchase Financing

Pretreatment

Medro Systems, Inc. offers a full line of pretreatment equipment including Solids Contact Clarifiers and Precipitators, Chemical Feed Systems, Multi-media Filters, Activated Carbon Adsorbers, and Ultrafiltration and Reverse Osmosis Systems to assure optimum performance of our ion exchange systems. We offer solutions to the most difficult makeup water and wastewater pre-treatment problems.

Equipment Installation

Medro offers complete turnkey installation including shipping, off-loading, equipment placement, and mechanical and electrical installation. We can also provide a Superintendent to oversee installation by others. Start-up services and operator training are available by Medro's highly trained technical personnel.

Equipment Service

In addition to System Start-up and Operator Training which is available with newly installed systems, Medro also offers long-term service on equipment. Our internal technical staff can assist you with any equipment related questions that may arise while our field technical service personnel can provide comprehensive jobsite support services.

Medro offers custom upgrades to existing systems, to include providing tank repair, new control valves and piping, improved internal distribution systems and system instrumentation and control retrofits.

Custom Reverse Osmosis

Medro also offers a full line of Custom Reverse Osmosis Systems designed to meet almost any industrial, municipal and medical application. Utilized in the treatment of clarified surface, well, seawater or wastewater treatment, Medro offers quality, reliability and ease of operation.

Through today's advanced membrane technology, systems can be designed to reject over 99.5% of all total dissolved solids. When used as pretreatment to ion exchange demineralizers, reverse osmosis drastically reduces the frequency of DI regeneration, providing lower chemical costs while reducing time required for operator supervision.

Reverse Osmosis System

TWO-PRO Two Pass RO

The Medro TWO-PRO Two Pass Reverse Osmosis System provides the industrial marketplace with an alternative to traditional water treatment methods without jeopardizing water quality.

The TWO-PRO System will provide superior water quality when compared to a traditional two bed ion exchange deionizer without the need of system regeneration and requiring very low maintenance. Total silica reduction of 99.9% is typical of the TWO-PRO System. Due to regenerant savings and reduced operator supervision, in many cases the TWO-PRO System will provide an annual operating cost reduction of 50% or more.

Ultrafiltration

Medro offers Ultrafiltration Systems for the concentration and removal of dissolved non-ionic, emulsified or colloidal materials. While Ultrafiltration does not concentrate and remove particles down to the range of Reverse Osmosis, it has the capability of removing particles with molecular weights as low as 1000.

Medro offers both tubular and spiral wound UF membrane systems for a wide range of applications.
